If you get a chance to explore the island, DO IT. This particular trip was my first outside the general SGU campus and it definitely opened my eyes up to the Grenada culture. If you’re interested in photography or even LOOKING at photography, join the SGU photography club. Every term, they host an excursion like this one, to different parts of the island that are particularly photogenic. You can use the club’s camera to learn photography or use your own smartphones and point and shoots if you don’t have a “real” DSLR camera however I can debate that smartphone cameras are just as good if you use them properly.
This trip cost me less than $5 USD because I was a lifetime member of the club. I think that’s a solid deal. Anyway, enough talking, follow along through the trip. I tracked it via GPS for my own memory sake but I guess you could also use it as a map if you want to recreate the trip at a later point in time.
